This week's featured artist - or, should I say, artists - goes by the name: Postmodern Jukebox.

Postmodern Jukebox, or PMJ for short, is a music collective group founded by pianist and arranger, Scott Bradlee. He collaborates with his team to take pop music's biggest hits and reimagine them as if they were recorded decades ago. I'm talkin' Macklemore's "Thrift Shop" in a vintage, "Grandpa Style." I'm talkin' a New Orleans Brass Band version of Justin Timberlake's "Can't Stop the Feeling." Even a classic doo wop take on Hanson's "MMMbop." Just browse PMJ's YouTube channel and you're sure to find a vintage take on a tune you love!

Bradlee began this venture in his basement apartment in Queens, N.Y. His little project became a YouTube sensation and, now, a touring sensation. PMJ is in the midst of a world tour and made a stop at a packed out Duke Energy Center in Raleigh on Friday night (pictured right). I attended the show and it was incredible! There was a mix of laughter, good 'ol fun and, of course, great music. I especially like the fact that many of PMJ's reimaginings incorporate woodwind instruments - particularly the clarinet. As a clarinetist, I wanted to hop right on the stage and play along with the PMJ crew myself! This show is no doubt in my top five all time best concerts. If you can, make sure to go see these guys and gals on tour. PMJ has an extensive music library on iTunes and Amazon so check that out as well. If you want a little taste of what you can expect with these songs, check the video below!

P.S. Keep your Internet browsers tuned to PMJ's YouTube channel as a new tune is released each Thursday.
